I: Cerebrovascular diseases in acute & recovery phase, symptoms & signs of cerebral insufficiency eg, dizziness, memory loss, poor concentration, disorientation; recent cranial trauma & their sequelae.
D: Cerebral insufficiency, recovery phase of strokeCap 1-2 cap/day. Adult oral drops 100-200 mg bid-tid. Maintenance 100 mg tid. Acute phase of stroke & cerebral traumaCap 1-2 cap once or bid. Adult oral drops 500 mg tid-qid. 125 mg/mL inj 1-2 inj/day. 250 mg/mL inj 1 inj/day. May be given by IM, IV (3-5 min) inj & in IV drop perfusion (dripping speed 40-60 drops/min).
CI: Parasympathetic hypertonia.
SP: 250 mg/mL inj: Administer very slowly (30 drops/min) in case of persistent intracranial hemorrhage. Large doses could provoke increase of cerebral blood flow. Rapid IV inj can produce hypotension. Pregnancy & lactation.
AR: GI disorders. 250 mg/mL inj: Parasympathetic stimulating action as well as fleeting & discrete hypotensor effect.
INT: Potentiate effects of L-dopa. Do not administer w/ meclofenoxate (clophenoxate).
P/P: Cap 500 mg x 24's. Adult oral drops 100 mg/mL x 15 mL. Inj (amp) 125 mg/mL x 4 mL x 5's. 250 mg/mL x 4 mL x 5's.
